The upcoming series stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as police detectives investigating a murder in a story that takes place from 1995-2012.
The eight-episode series, should it continue, is intended as an anthology with different stories and characters each year under the True Detective title, a la American Horror Story.
