Kodiak Rugged Portable Charger Review

Kodiak-7 [ad#co-1]

As someone that is a little rough and rugged around the edges I must say that the Kodiak USB Power Deck is PERFECT for me. The Kodiak can literally take a beating! I have dropped it more times than I can countand it just laughed at me. It has come to and from the beach with me, been dropped in water and then some.Short of running it over (which I have not tried) there isn’t much it can’t take It is hands down the toughest power bank I have even come across and I have had my share of power banks.

Now we all know that most power banks will only support your everyday cell phone, but the Kodiak is not your average power bank. It has a huge 6000 mAh lithium ion battery giving it the ability to charge your tablet, POV camera, e-reader, wireless headphone, gps and the list goes on! I know what you are thinking. “Something this powerful must be bulking and heavy”. Well you are wrong. The Kodiak weighs a mere 9.4 ounces which makes it easy to travel with. One thing I did notice is that you do need to be aware of which cable you use. I used the standard micro-usb to charge the SG5 and it told me to use the charger to charge faster. So be aware that not all cables will be compatible.

• Rechargeable 6000 mAh lithium-ion battery
• Switches between 1.0/2.1 Amp output
• Waterproof
• Shock resistant
• Battery level indicator
• Size: 3 x 1.25 x 4 inches
• Micro USB input/charge via wall or USB
• Includes cables and instruction manual

Overall I would say this is a great concept and value for the price. At 49.95 I don’t think you can find a better value this powerful or durable!
