Its a battle of the Phablet, with the Lumia 1520 going against the Samsung galaxy Note 3. For years the Note series had reined supreme has the biggest and baddest smartphones around. But Nokia has decided to jump into the fray with the Lumia 1520 and its massive 6-inch 1080p display. Lets see how well Nokia fairs against the reining champion the Galaxy Note 3
The new Galaxy Note 3 comes in like a heavy weight boxer in its prime. Weighing in at 5.93 oz and coming in a full oz under its predecessor; the Galaxy Note 3 packs a lot of firepower. Starting of with a lovely a 5.7-inch 1080p display, while the backside of the device features a 13-megapixel camera records at 4K and a faux leather cover. Sandwiched in-between those parts is 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage and a 3,200mAh battery.
The Lumia 1520 sports a 6-inch ( might be a little large for some) with a 1080p resolution at 650 nits, which means this is the brightest and sharpest display from Nokia. Comparing it to anything on the market the Lumia 1520 is in a class of its own. The device is powered by “the” Snapdragon 800 processor, yes Lumia has gone quad-core and it shows. Gaming on the Lumia 1520 is just that much smoother & and basic operations on the device flow very well. This also helps that the device has 2GB of ram to boot. Now when it comes to storage, the AT&T version of the Lumia 1520 comes with 16GB of ram instead of the 32GB stated internationally, though AT&T has stated a 32GB version of the device is coming. Plus you do have expandable storage via MicroSD up to 64GB, which does help. this is , though no word was given on the amount of ram in the system.
