The Plan was simple get a flight to E3 in LA, from Boston. Flight booked and schedule to arrive on Sun June 5th. Take off from Boston on Sun Afternoon, land in Houston for my connecting flight.

This is where it all goes down hill and all the failing begins, Stuck in Houston for close two days, due to bad weather at times, and standby delay shenanigans by Continental airlines.

Which I suggest to all, to never ever fly on. its down right terrible, their planes are cramped and the customer service by most of their reps in just plain evil. Hope you enjoy the video, just wanted to let you all know why I didn’t make it to E3 and I apologize for not covering the event

So Nintendo Has just announced their new gaming console due out some time in 2012, called the Wii U. Which sport a new touch pad like controller, merged with a traditional button layout.

The Console itself is powered by an IBM processor using the same technology as the IBM Watson. It will output games in 1080p, have 4 USB 2.0 ports and have internal flash memory ( with the ability to store games on SD and HDD via USB).

The Controller itself is unique and a weird blend. marrying a 6.2 touch screen with a traditional button layout on a tablet like build. Games can be streamed from the console to the controller as well as the added front facing camera, gyroscope and accelerometer.

So we ask, what do you think of the Wii U? As we try to answer this question ourselves, talking about the console, the new controller. Nintendo entering into the HD era and much more.

ARMONK, N.Y., June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that it will provide the microprocessors that will serve as the heart of the new Wii U™ system from Nintendo. Unveiled today at the E3 trade show, Nintendo plans for its new console to hit store shelves in 2012.
The all-new, Power-based microprocessor will pack some of IBM’s most advanced technology into an energy-saving silicon package that will power Nintendo’s brand new entertainment experience for consumers worldwide. IBM’s unique embedded DRAM, for example, is capable of feeding the multi-core processor large chunks of data to make for a smooth entertainment experience.

IBM plans to produce millions of chips for Nintendo featuring IBM Silicon on Insulator (SOI) technology at 45 nanometers (45 billionths of a meter). The custom-designed chips will be made at IBM’s state-of-the-art 300mm semiconductor development and manufacturing facility in East Fishkill, N.Y.
The relationship between IBM and Nintendo dates to May 1999, when IBM was selected to design and manufacture the central microprocessor for the Nintendo GameCube™ system. Since 2006, IBM has shipped more than 90 million chips for Nintendo Wii systems.

"IBM has been a terrific partner for many years. We truly value IBM’s commitment to support Nintendo in delivering an entirely new kind of gaming and entertainment experience for consumers around the world," said Genyo Takeda, Senior Managing Director, Integrated Research and Development, at Nintendo Co., Ltd.
"We’re very proud to have delivered to Nintendo consistent technology advancements for three generations of entertainment consoles," said Elmer Corbin, director, IBM’s custom chip business. "Our relationship with Nintendo underscores our unique position in the industry — how we work together with clients to help them leverage IBM technology, intellectual property and research to drive innovation into their own core products."
Built on the open, scalable Power Architecture base, IBM custom processors exploit the performance and power advantages of proven silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology. The inherent advantages of the technology make it a superior choice for performance-driven applications that demand exceptional, power-efficient processing capability – from entertainment consoles to supercomputers.

Word has been trickling out that the New Nintendo Wii console will be on display at E3 2011. Details are limited but from what we know. Wii 2 will be more powerful than the Xbox 360

French site 01net has revealed information about the new Nintendo console, thanks to a source whopreviously detailed Sony’s NGP before it was announced. The same source earlier talked about Nintendo’s upcoming E3 unveiling, which was reported by other sources on the internet as well.

The new Nintendo console is said to be codenamed “Project Café,” possibly in an attempt to screw around with American bloggers who don’t have the combination for the é key at the ready. The controller will be a tablet kind of controller in “standard definition” or at least sub-720p. Apparently it’s supposed to be akin to an über version of the Dreamcast’s VMU — that little display thing you inserted in your controller.

The controller itself is said to include a 6″ single-touch screen, d-pad, “L and R,” two triggers, and “others.” The functionality of the Wii’s sensor bar has now been integrated into the controller, which would mean that you’d just use your controller as a sensor bar for Wiimote gameplay. It would a sport a front facing camera.

Also, because it’s Nintendo we’re talking about here, the cost of this controller is said to be “modest” and we shouldn’t expect iPad levels of power or performance here. They call it an “iPad with buttons” for lack of a better term. 01net’s source also elaborated on the hardware specs of the console itself.

The architecture would be similar to the Xbox 360 with a custom IBM PowerPC three core CPU, and “probably” an ATI R700 series GPU with shader model 4.1 support (i.e., higher than the 360′s shader model 3.0 support). You can easily spin the shader model stuff into the console being more powerful than an Xbox 360, so if this is true that’s something to keep in mind for the future.

This architecture would also allow for easier porting of titles developed for the 360, which has a similar architecture, and that would also make it much more interesting for third party developers to develop for Nintendo’s new console as well (or just port old stuff over). Sources close to Blu-ray.com are also claiming that Nintendo is looking into Bluray for its medium of choice.

01net’s sources tell them that Project Café has another big surprise coming up, but that is as of yet shrouded in mystery. All of this doesn’t sound too far-fetched, as it would allow for a more developer-friendly current-gen console to take over from the Wii’s struggling hardware sales. And it gives Nintendo a strong boost for the next couple of years while Microsoft and Sony scratch their heads over how to approach their next generation consoles.

MS will reveal a slim 360 natal bundle at one of their two (yes, two) press conferences at this year’s e3.

What’s more the 360 will be getting a subtle rebrand, with a new logo and black as the new primary colour of the console. They feel that the new system needs to be black because a white Natal wouldn’t sit well next to the typical gloss black tv.

The new system design is pretty neat.

And Natal? Let’s just say you’ll probably be both very surprised and very pleased by one of the games revealed… what is it?

Military Madness Wii

Military Madness from the TurboGarph 16 fame is making a coming back to the Wii, this turn base strategy games will be available on the Wiiware for $10. The game is simple to control which is a plus. Means anyone can play. So it all boils down to strategy

Rooms is a very interesting game for the Wii and also the DS. Using the base principle of the Simon puzzle, rooms aims to deliver a gaming experience that takes that sometime annoying simon puzzle fun.

The Calling is a Japanese game in the same vein as the movie the ring. IN this Wii title you are not armed with guns, grenades, rocket launchers.
