The Curve 9370 is the latest in the curve family Line on the Verizon Network. it sports a 2.44-inch display that isn’t touch screen, a 5- megapixel camera, and is a Global ready smartphone on the Verizon network, with a Vodaphone 3G sim-card. The Curve 9370 has a 2GB microSD that is expandable up to 32Gb . It also supports NFC and has Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi B/G/N & GPS. The Unit itself is very light and I feel is one of the lightest Blackberries to date.

BlackBerry Travel is a nice little additive on the BlackBerry Curve 9370, giving the user full access to booking tickets, setting up travel plans, checking local weather and getting great deals on trips. This is a useful feature I can see been fully beneficial to the business class user that BlackBerry attracts and has as their core customer base

BlackBerry Traffic is a free voice navigation service from BlackBerry, that gives you turn by turn directions. Though not giving you a map view, does indicate and show you traffic congestion and toll routes. It is nice that BlackBerry has packaged something extra into their smartphone as a free feature with the device.

The New curve 9370 from BlackBerry on Verizon is a super light-weight device, feels much lighter and performs faster than the previous curves. the addition of BlackBerry, travel and traffic are a welcome plus to BlackBerry 7.1 OS. Though an NFC capable device, we have yet to see any functional use of NFC technology on the new BlackBerrys let a lone the Blackberry Curve 9370. But in the end it feels like more of the same, which could be a good or bad thing.

The Droid XYBOARD 8.2 is a better refresh from the Motorola Xoom, design wise the 8.2-inch Android tablet feels more comfortable and easier to handle; that being said the Droid XYBOARD 8.2 does experience some slow downs, and though 4G LTE was great on the device, using it as a hopspot present some issues with lost data connections. The Droid XYBOARD is a a reliable tablet and does a decent number on battery life at about 8hrs. Still there is a lot more Motorola could have done with this tablet to make it more than adequate

The HTC Rezound is the first HTC device to sport a720p display and will be the First device on Verizon Network to have a HD display. Its got a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD display (yes a HD screen). Powered by a 1.5 Dual-core Processor. It camera has an F2.2 lens with low light sensor at 8 Megapixels. recording at 1080p and a VGA Front Facing Camera for video chat. Storage; its got 32GB (with 16GB microSD and 16GB on-board storage). Its got Sense 3.5 and the U.I experience so far seem looks and feels fast. The HTC Rezound is also a 4G LTE device on the Verizon network and doe sallow user to create a Hotspot for up to 8 devices.

The HTC Rezound is also the first US smartphone to sport Beats audio by Dr Dre; which is know for its premium studio audio. So what does it add to the device, in terms of audio? Short answer is Yes. But I can tell you first hand that the audio quality off the Rezound is impressive, with or without the Beats by Dr Dre headphones provided with the Rezound, The sound quality is clean clear and without distortion. Now we know every smartphone out there has a built in music player, but that doesn’t guarantee it sounds good or you would love to listen to your favorite tunes on the devices. I can tell you that is just not the case with the Rezound. Music is vivid and fresh, movies feel like your right in the thick of things in the middle of all the action. In short the addition of Beats by Dr Dre add and extra entertainment dimension to the HTC Rezound.

So we know listen to audio on the device is great, how about the new Super LCD 720p HD display. Yes this is actually the first device on Verizon network to sport a 720p HD display, before the Galaxy Nexus. I can tell you the screen has its ups and does., it shines well with movies, especially watch a movies that is bright and has fewer dark scenes; with photos you really don’t notice the difference. Though the 8 Megapixel camera with its F2.2 lens takes some very and I mean very Stella photos and I mean stellar.

Battery life is an area where HTC has improved a lot with the Rezound, I got upwards of 16hrs with heavy use and about 24 hrs + on standby. Which is huge improvement from some other HTC device that barely last 8 hours. As you know this is also a 4G LTE device on the Verizon network, clocking speeds of up to 25Mbps downloads and 8Mbps uploads. Over the HTC REzound has some flaws, with an ok HD display and poor audio the on HD recording(serious HTC please fix this).

On the flip side, listen to music and watch movies on this device is and audio dream with clean crisp sound and the battery life is also great. So in all though flawed, the HTC Rezound provides and audio experience second to non-in the smartphone space.

We have waited for months heard all the rumors. But on Dec 15th, the wait for what we once thought the Nexus Prime ended with the official US launch of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. The latest in the line of Nexus Google flavored devices, that runs the company’s latest operating system; Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone, Android, iOS , or Windows phone to not have an physical or touch sensitive buttons on the front of the device, frankly there are only two sets of buttons on the device; the Volume rockr and power button. The Hardware is designed follow the styling s of the Nexus S with its contour screen and the USA Sprint & T-Mobile Galaxy S2 variants. It also sports a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display(screen resolution 720P), giving users a flat screen TV in the palm of their hands. It is power by a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor with 1GB ram for smooth operations; which you will notice once you start playing around with the OS. Its sports a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash in the rear and a 1.3 megapixel camera for video chatting in front. NFC capable and houses a Verizon wireless 4G LTE chip.

Lets talk about the Galaxy Nexus Hardware; the Super AMOLED 720p display is a thing of beauty. Colors are rich and clear, pictures do stand out and you will first notice it with the wallpaper. But the best way to enjoy the SUPER AMOLED HD Screen is to watch a HD movie on it. I mean it is like watching butter melt in your hands. The Video is vivid and clear, and feels like you are watching on a larger HD set. And yes blacks are black., if you are not sure of what i I mean, pay attention to the first half of the video review .Besides anything else, this is the one true defining feature of the Galaxy Nexus

Android 4.0

So far I like what I see with Android 4.0, it feel like a more polished user experience. it looks like Google has understood what mistakes it made with Android 3.0 and adapted it success from Android 2.3 to combine in creating this latest O.S upgrade. The truth here is Android 4.0 is and feels like a well fleshed out and polish version of Android 3.0. Which is a good thing here. One of the major keynotes here is battery life, which all Android devices struggle with. From the looks of things here, Android 4.0 has greatly improved the situation and has brought in better battery management and longer battery hours.. For more and a better in-depth look at Android 4.0, check out out Walkthrough Guide here

Camera

The Galaxy nexus Sports a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash in the rear and a 1.3 megapixel camera up front. The Front facing camera is well used with the new facial recognition unlock and does a good job video chatting. The Rear 5 megapixel camera records at 1080p. Now we have seen other Samsung devices house cameras with higher resolution rates like the Galaxy S2; and

Conclusion
The Galaxy Nexus is pretty much what we expected it to be, the ushering of a new era in the Android space. A combination of Great Hardware from Samsung, with much needed software upgrade from Google. Coupled with Verizon 4G LTE network. You have a device that can not be missed or taken for granted.
Yes there are some things that still erk me about the Galaxy Nexus, like the camera. Which doesn’t live up to Samsung’s own standards

The Galaxy Nexus on Verizon is the first Android 4.0 device to hit the market. So how does it look and feel? The Hardware design and styling is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Nexus S with its contoured screen. Which features a 4.65-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display that sports un screen buttons for your home back and multitask buttons. Yes no physical button on the device other than your power and volume rockers.

Weigh wise it feels slightly heavier than the Galaxy S2, but not by much, but still maintains a very slim profile for a device. Android 4.0 gladly isn’t a departure for the Android basics, but it will leave some user wondering where to find stuff. For instance your settings can be found on your notification bar. The are many other little details that have been changed around. Which we will get into, for now , enjoy our unboxing and stay tuned for our full review as well camera test and Android 4.0 tour.
