Finally we get some clear images at least renders of the Nokia ACE ala Nokia Lumia 900 for AT&T. The Nokia 900 (Ace) is a rumored Windows Phone with a 4.3” ClearBlack AMOLED screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.4 GHz single-core processor. It is rumored to have an 8-megapixel rear camera and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. We definitely will find out more come CES 2012. But it looks like Nokia want to get things rolling in the USA.

Nokia Lumia 800 Coming to AT&T with LTE. Update- CES 2012 Launch

Word on the street via The Verge is that the Nokia Lumia 800 will be hitting AT&T but with LTE. Yes it looks like AT&T is looking to increase its LTE range of smartphones with Nokia’ s Windows Phone device. A lot of speculations arose when Nokia decided to skip US launch this year. But it seems the Finish company wanted to tackle LTE head on in the states. As you know Windows Phone 7.5 mango is not LTE compliant. Though that could change with the Tango update or a specific Mango based update that includes LTE functionality. We do know the Nokia Lumia 710 is coming to T-Mobile. Lets hope it is packed with HSPA+ 42Mbps when it hits. And it stand to assume Verizon will be getting its own LTE variant of the Lumia 800 or maybe the rumored Nokia 900

The reports back up claims from Windows expert Paul Thurrott that Nokia will launch U.S. versions of its handsets in early 2012. Thurrott discussed Nokia’s plans during his Windows Weekly show with fellow Microsoft reporter Mary Jo Foley on November 3. “I have been told that we expect the Nokia U.S. plans to be announced at CES,” said Thurrott. Nokia is believed to be preparing an “Ace” Windows Phone that is similar to the Lumia 800 but features a 4.3-inch AMOLED display. Specifications of the device leaked in early October.
Tango is believed to be an interim release between Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” and the next-generation of Windows Phone, currently codenamed “Apollo.” Windows Phone build 7.10.8200 was recently discovered in server side logs of a Windows Phone application. A screenshot, believed to be a Tango build, also leaked and demonstrated a new device search feature for Windows Phones. Microsoft’s chasis 2 specifications (Tango) will also include a 480×320 BlackBerry style design and LTE support. The software giant is expected to ship Windows Phone “Apollo” with 1280×720 resolution and dual core CPU support.

First Press shots of the HTC Rezoud have hit the web via Pocketnow. You can see the device styling resembles the Droid incredible. so you could call the HTC Rezound the Droid Incredible 3. From the photos you can see the device sports the Beats audio logo. and Verizon’s 4G LTE sign. Which will indicate the device has Beats by Dre and is 4G LTE capable. As far as specs go- 4.5-inch 720p screen, a 1 .5 GHz processor and a 4G LTE connection, the latter of which these photos confirm. We shouldfind out more from HTC’s Press event today at 3Pm. Motorola Droid 4 in the flesh- ultra thin QWERTY keyboard

Finally it seems Motorola has come to their senses and released what should have been the Motorola Droid 3, as the Droid 4. Though this looks like ultra thin resembles the Droid Razr. The Droid 4 also has 4G,finally, but it doesn’t have a removable battery. This device looks and feels more like a Razr Slide than a Droid 4. But we shall see. No word on pricing and release date.

Early Look at the Motorola Razr ahead of tomorrow Press Event

Motorola has been leaving hint about their new Droid Razr /Sypder. The have a second sneak is hidden in an incomplete puzzle with the missing pieces added one-by-one as we get closer to the device’s launch, but Motorola left a full image of the phone hiding in plain sight. So what you see above is an ultrar-thin Verizon LTE device with kevlar backing and a Droid X-style hump on the top, a rear camera (presumably 8MP) with 1080p HD video capture, a front-facing cam, a standard set of four capacitive touch buttons and a redesigned Droid eye. Dubbed the Samsung Stratosphere. it is a 4’” Super AMOLED device with WVGA display, 512mb of ram, 4GB of internal memory expandable to 32GB with microSD. Running Android 2.3 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UX overlay. A 1.3 megapixel front facing camera & 5 megapixel camera in the rear with LED flash (480p video recording). LTE Galaxy S II & Galaxy Tab 8.9 announced, to be showcased at IFA

Looks like there are new arrives to the Galaxy Line of devices from Samsung. First of the is LTE Samsung galaxy S II ( I guess it is coming to Verizon after all), sporting a dual-core 1.5Ghz processor with a 4.5” screen, 8MP camera and running Android 2.3 with LTE 4G of course.

Then we have the Galaxy Tab 8.9 which we saw back at CTIA, as the smaller brother to the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The Tab 8.9 is only 8.6mm thick rocking the same 12000×800 resolution as the Tab 10.1 and of course comes with 4G LTE. No word on pricing, but I am sure Verizon will have these in the market here soon enough.

Seems like May26th is going to be a very busy day for Verizon wireless. Their next LTE device, the LG Revolution we be arriving in store on May 26th. Running Android 2.2, on a 4.3” screen resolution 800×480, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 1Ghz Snapdragon Processor, HDMI-out and a 16GB pre-installed Micro SD card. When Verizon announced its slew of 4G LTE phones and devices at CES 2011, The Thunderbolt was was one of the devices listed as an initial foray into LTE smartphones. The Thunderbolt as a devices takes a close resemblances to the HTC EV, which was released last year. So the question beckon why and old design choice. Simple, it works

HARDWARE

The Thunderbolt comes with a 4.3 WXGA display, with an 8MP rear facing camera that records at 720p with duel LED flash, a 1.3 MP front facing camera for video chat. It is power by the latest 1GHz Snapdragon processor. 32GB pre-installed microSD (which is very nice). Running on Android 2.2 and HTC sense UI, a built in Kickstand which also hides the systems speakers and of course has 4G LTE which speed of 5-12 Mbps on Download and 2 to 5 for uploads ( check out our speed test below) and the ability to generate a wireless hotspot for up to 8 Wi-Fi devices. So does the hardware ware feel like the EVO, No. The Thunderbolt has a refined look to it that evolves from the EVO design, with smoother edges and more metal frame build that gives the device a more business user look.

What you get software wise with the Thunderbolt, is the same Android 2.2 and HTC sense UI experience you have seen with other HTC device. The heavy integration of Sense UI onto Android, helps the causal user interact with the device and find and use feature sets with easy. One new feature set that sense provides is the location of the multitask manager in the notification tray, allowing for easy access to your multitask apps.

4G LTE Speed Test

This is where the true strengthen of the Thunderbolt is present here, Verizon expected download speeds range from 5-12 Mbps and upload speed ranging from 2-5 Mbp, but during our non-scientific test using speed test app on the device the Thunderbolt complete blew those number away,

Conclusion

So what do I think of the Thunderbolt, I will peg it as currently the best device on Verizon’s network at the moment. Yes it does have one main draw back which still plagues Android devices; battery life. though did get a solid 8hrs with moderate use.

Other than that the device is sleek, it runs really fast with the 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, its got a lovely 8MP camera and a very useful and crisp 1.3MP camera for video chat. and yes the 4GLTE speeds are ridiculously fast and that makes the device a most have on just that merit alone. Definitely a worth buy, especially with amazon selling The Thunderbolt for $130 with a 2yr contract.
