Lenovo is expanding its Ultrabook portfolio following the recently announced IdeaPad U300s, with the IdeaPad U310 and U410, two “ultra” laptops with attractive price points. We got some Hands-on time with the U310 which is Powered by the Intel Core Processor family, these thin and light performance laptops include Ultrabook versions with 64GB SSD drives for caching data, and versions with up to 500GB Hard Disc Drive (HDD) storage. Both versions feature ultra-responsive performance with fast boot times and quick resume from sleep thanks to Lenovo’s Windows 7 Enhanced Experience tuning.

CES 2012 is here and you can expect Samsung to roll out the big guns for the show. WE already know the have an update to their dual screen camera with the DV300F and we can expect newer models across the line. Also will we see the Galaxy S3 and some of the rumored windows phones Samsung Mandel.  Are we going to see more ultrabooks like the Samsung Series 9 laptops.We don’t have to wait too long. on Jan 9th at 2pm PST or 5Pm eastern we will get a glimpse at what Samsung  has to offer at the show. LG is releasing an update to its best selling Optimus Smartphone dubbed the LG Optimus 2, The LG Optimus  2 features a 3.2 touchscreen with a 320×480 resolution. Running Android 2.3 gingerbread, it is powered by an 800MHz processor, got a rear 3.2 megapixel camera, , and Bluetooth 3.0+EDR. There’s GPS and WiFi, and a 2GB microSD card included expandable up to 32GB. It has support for CDMA EVDO Rev.A, on the 800/1900MHz bands. The Nokia BH905i is a Bluetooth Stereo headset that set itself in the accessories market. Most of you know I am a big audiophile and I do enjoy my headsets. I haven’t found too many Bluetooth stereo headset that hit the mark on all cylinders. But before I get to the review, let take a look at the hardware itself.

The Nokia BH 905i is a well crafted piece of technology with Nokia applying their best hardware principle into the headset, with soft ear cushions for easy comfort when the headset is placed on your ears to. The controls are easily accessible on the right ear piece which has a nice metallic finish on the outer surface.  The headset is fully retractable to fit any head size; plus there is a built in mic , an active noise cancelling switch and simply a overall professional finish to the build.

So the question is how is the audio quality of the BH905i? Simple it sounds great. The beauty about these stereo Bluetooth headset is the ease of use. It is just that easy to pair up with a Bluetooth capable device as seen in the video above. The sound quality is clear crisp as you would with a corded headset, which the Nokia BH905i also supports. The only downside I have to the Nokia BH905i is the Active Noise cancellation feature which wasn’t has responsive as I had hoped. Other than that this think has an excellent battery life. I used it for about 20-23 hrs on a single charge.  In all the Nokia BH905i is a definite buy, it might be a little price but you are definite paying for quality and you get those results in audio kind.

The device code name Sea Ray looks very similar to the Nokia N9 in design, thought its got a dedicated camera button for the 8MP Carl Zeiss lens with dual LED flash. running Windows Phone 7 Mango. the device was shown by Stephen Elop to a crowd of what sounded like Nokia employees. Where he urged them to not leak any photos or video of the device to the blogsphere and I guess someone didn’t listen to what he said.

As you all know quite well we received our review unit of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. last week. Apparently Booredatwork Studio’s was raided over the weekend by Col Ogukwu and he fled with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. We do apologize for the inconvenience in not providing you with a sufficient unboxing of the device.  Though the Col sent us this video of his raid for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which shows him unboxing the product for us.

We will be getting our Samsung Galaxy Tab from the Col in the next coming days, this whole misunderstanding arose from a payment dispute with our last video with the Col.  From our brief hands on with the galaxy Tab 10.1, the device is super slim at 8.6mm( it is super light), with smooth rounded edges a 10.1” touchscreen display(Resolution 1280 x 800 pixels), a 2MP front facing camera with a 3Mp rear camera that Records at 720p. A proprietary USB 2.0 connector. It is adobe flash 10.2 compatible, running Android 3.1 and doe shave video chat via Google Chat. The 32GB version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi edition will be available for $599, while the 16GB version of the device will be available for $499.  The Samsung Galaxy Tab also features Enterprise solutions such as

• Enhanced Exchange ActiveSync Support
• Cisco AnyConnect SSL VPN
• F5 SSL VPN

The folks at thisismynext have uncovered a Samsung Smartphone  slated for this summer that looks like the Samsung inufse 4G with specs to rival the Samsung Galaxy SII.

Thisismynext crew has quite the spec breakdown:

this may be an indication why it seems there is no Galaxy S II coming to it mobile. Looking at the specs of the device, it carries a Dual Core Qualcomm chip when the Galaxy S II carries  Samsung’s Dual core Exynos processor. Time will tell.

Dependence on televisions, cellphones and laptops may be costing Americans dearly — in lack of sleep.

The national penchant for watching television every evening before going to sleep, playing video games late into the night or checking emails and text messages before turning off the lights could be interfering with the nation’s sleep habits.

"Unfortunately, cell phones and computers, which make our lives more productive and enjoyable, may be abused to the point that they contribute to getting less sleep at night leaving millions of Americans functioning poorly the next day," Russell Rosenberg, the vice chairman of the Washington DC-based National Sleep Foundation (NSF), said in a statement.

Nearly 95 percent of people questioned in an NSF study said they used some type of electronics in the hour before going to bed, and about two-thirds admitted they do not get enough sleep during the week.

Charles Czeisler, of Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, said exposure to artificial light before going to bed can increase alertness and suppress the release of melatonin, a sleep-promoting hormone.

"Technology has invaded the bedroom," Czeisler explained in an interview. "Invasion of such alerting technologies into the bedroom may contribute to the high proportion of respondents who reported they routinely get less sleep than they need."

Baby boomers, or people aged 46-64 years old, were the biggest offenders of watching television every night before going to sleep, while more than a third of 13-18 year-olds and 28 percent of young adults 19-29 year olds played video games before bedtime.

Sixty one percent also said they used their computer or laptop at least a few nights each week.

And a propensity to stay in touch means that even people who have managed to fall asleep, are being woken up by cellphones, texts and emails during the night.

The Spiderpodium from Breffo is a very interesting approach to stands and carry cases. Talking with the company’s CEO Nic McMahon, Breffo focused on flexibility and strength. Producing the Spiderpodium which has a rubber exo-skeleton  with grips that allow for better hold and steel legs for strength.
