Motorola has been leaving hint about their new Droid Razr /Sypder. The have a second sneak is  hidden in an incomplete puzzle with the missing pieces added one-by-one as we get closer to the device’s launch, but Motorola left a full image of the phone hiding in plain sight. So what you see above is an ultrar-thin Verizon LTE device with kevlar backing and a Droid X-style hump on the top, a rear camera (presumably 8MP) with 1080p HD video capture, a front-facing cam, a standard set of four capacitive touch buttons and a redesigned Droid eye. On Wed Oct. 18th Motorola Mobility and Verizon Mobile will have  a big press event in NYC, and we will be there to give you life coverage of the event through our liveblog below. Motorola or Verizon haven’t stated what devices we will see at the event. But the tag lines Faster. Thinner.Smarter. Stronger. Leads me to believe it will be the Droid Razr/Spyder or the Droid HD. Motorola Just unleashed a new teaser video and a new count down clock  with the tag lines. Faster. Thinner. Smarter. Stronger. The funny thing here is the count down Clock end  right before the ICe Cream Sandwich event held by Google and Samsung in Hong Kong set for this Tuesday, missing the mark by only seven hours. I does make sense to jump on the Ice Cream Sandwich band wagon. As for the tag lines, I think it clear point to the Droid Razr/Spyder which we got to see what we believe to be confirmed specs below. The teaser video is filled with flashes of buzz words and images that are meant to draw you in. Well we will have to wait till next Tuesday Oct 18th. The Motorola Droid X2 has an 8MP camera that records at 720P, with a dual LED Flash.  As mentioned the camera records at 720p

The video quality is a little grainy and some saturation can be seen in the outdoor recordings in sunlight. There is no image stabilization as you will see in the video below. Had issues with audio & video syncing in some of my videos. Take a look at the video and still sand be your own judge. They are better 8MP camera’s on the Verizon network

The  Droid charge is the newest 4G LTE smartphone on the Verizon wireless network from Samsung.  The Droid Charge doesn’t sport a dual core processor but it does carry its own weight well with a 1Ghz hummingbird chip, as well a a gorgeous 4.3” Super AMOLED Plus touch screen. which is truly a sight  on its own.  so why should we care about the Droid charge from Verizon. Samsung makes a very compelling case as and we take a look why.

HARDWARE

The Droid Charge as mentioned sport a lovely 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen which we will soon see on the Samsung Galaxy S II.  A front facing camera  at 1.3MP, 8MP rear facing camera with flash (records at 720p), nice through back to front physical buttons for (home, back, menu & search). The Overall design is clean with a sight resemblance to the Galaxy line of devices but with its own unique V bottom look.

The Samsung Droid Charge feel light enough in your hands for its size and when turned own the display is true something else, specially  the way it handles in sunlight as you will see in the video review

Performance & Speed test

Though the Samsung Droid Charge does not sport a dual core processor. The phone handles well with out any hiccups or slow downs. The Humming bird processor in this device functions like a breeze. The Charge does use a 1,600mAh battery

Battery life on the Droid Charge is a truly blessing that is constantly missing in Android devices, I had live-wallpaper running with a bunch of apps and Wi-Fi; went through a whole day without needing a charge.Speed test on the 4G LTE network saw an avg of 17.5Mbps for downloads and 5.05MBps for uploads. Again Verizon wireless provided the superiors of their 4G LTE network, as the Samsung Droid Charge can support up to 10 devices on its mobile hotspot

Conclusions

The Samsung Droid charge is a well built device that matches Samsung’s Top tier Smartphones, its got a gorgeous Super AMOLED Plus Touch screen, wonderful battery life, 32GB of internal storage, great Camera plus Verizon Wireless 4G LTE. the Only down side might be its pricing @ $300 which is higher than the Thunderbolt. All the feature backed into the Samsung Droid Charge make it a solid buy and the definite 4G LTE device from Verizon Wireless.

The Droid Charge by Samsung, is a well crafted LTE Powered Android Smartphone on the Verizon network. The hardware design is a blend of the Samsung Galaxy S series and a metallic business finish.  Its got a 4.3” Super AMOLED screen,  physical front facing buttons  which have a nice feel to them). It comes fully-loaded DROID 2 built on Android 2.2 with Adobe Flash^® Player built-in.  An improved QWERTY keyboard, fast 1GHz processor, 3G Mobile Hotspot¹, push corporate e-mail and intuitive social messaging. 5megapixel camera with dual LED Flash, 8 GB of internal storage, expandable to 40 with a microsd card. Pretty much an all round upgrade to the original Droid.

But if you can’t wait for the Droid 2 to ship you can pick it up at Verizon Wireless stores on Aug 12th.
