The  Droid charge is the newest 4G LTE smartphone on the Verizon wireless network from Samsung.  The Droid Charge doesn’t sport a dual core processor but it does carry its own weight well with a 1Ghz hummingbird chip, as well a a gorgeous 4.3” Super AMOLED Plus touch screen. which is truly a sight  on its own.  so why should we care about the Droid charge from Verizon. Samsung makes a very compelling case as and we take a look why.

HARDWARE

The Droid Charge as mentioned sport a lovely 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen which we will soon see on the Samsung Galaxy S II.  A front facing camera  at 1.3MP, 8MP rear facing camera with flash (records at 720p), nice through back to front physical buttons for (home, back, menu & search). The Overall design is clean with a sight resemblance to the Galaxy line of devices but with its own unique V bottom look.

The Samsung Droid Charge feel light enough in your hands for its size and when turned own the display is true something else, specially  the way it handles in sunlight as you will see in the video review

Performance & Speed test

Though the Samsung Droid Charge does not sport a dual core processor. The phone handles well with out any hiccups or slow downs. The Humming bird processor in this device functions like a breeze. The Charge does use a 1,600mAh battery

Battery life on the Droid Charge is a truly blessing that is constantly missing in Android devices, I had live-wallpaper running with a bunch of apps and Wi-Fi; went through a whole day without needing a charge.Speed test on the 4G LTE network saw an avg of 17.5Mbps for downloads and 5.05MBps for uploads. Again Verizon wireless provided the superiors of their 4G LTE network, as the Samsung Droid Charge can support up to 10 devices on its mobile hotspot

Also no Samsung GPS issues with this device

Conclusions

The Samsung Droid charge is a well built device that matches Samsung’s Top tier Smartphones, its got a gorgeous Super AMOLED Plus Touch screen, wonderful battery life, 32GB of internal storage, great Camera plus Verizon Wireless 4G LTE. the Only down side might be its pricing @ $300 which is higher than the Thunderbolt. All the feature backed into the Samsung Droid Charge make it a solid buy and the definite 4G LTE device from Verizon Wireless.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab, is Samsung first entry into the tablet market, with a  7 inch touchscreen, packed with a  1Ghz humming bird processor, 16GB of internal memory via micr0sd (32GB expandable) 1.3MP front facing camera with a 3.2MP Rear camera with Flash and Running Android 2.2

The Galaxy Tab is a well built tablet, with a simple flush finish and Samsung signature glossy black finish on its Galaxy line of devices. Size wise the 7’” tab is a perfect pal carry fit, not oversized and allows for dual finger typing on the on screen keyboard. Samsung’s Touchwiz integration into the Tab is minimal yet effective in making Android 2.2 a very useable tablet OS. The 3G network service from US Cellular’s network is very solid with surprising fast download speeds and almost no drops from 3G service in my test, also affording the ability to send text & MMS messages of the Tab as web as the ability to create mobile Hotspot for up to 5 devices.

The Galaxy Tab is a very solid first entry by Samsung into the Tablet market, with a  fitting form-factor. Though I would like to see more apps built to take full advantage of the table itself, In all it’s a good product all around and the service from US cellular was also solid in us.

The Nexus S is the second iteration in the Nexus series of Google experiences Android device, made by Samsung and running stock Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread). First off I must say the phone is well built and designed with a contour screen that helps improve viewing angle,  Samsung has done another fantastic job of crafting a sexy device.

Packed with  1ghz processor, 16GB of internal storage, a front facing camera (VGA) and a rear 5MP camera with flash. One of the cooler things we discovered from this review is how much better battery is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on the Nexus S.

The Nexus S is a Solid device overall, the build and quality that is derived from it by Samsung is outstanding, Android 2.3 gingerbread also allows for much smoother operation on the devices, better battery life, smoother OS operations and a few key niffy features. On the down side the Nexus S is only available  to one carriers signal, T-mobile and doesn’t even work on the carrier’s 4G network which is a bummer, though I did find the 3G speeds to be quite improved on the Nexus S.

In all the Nexus S is a solid devices that lack 4G speeds but does work very well with what it has. Though on A side not it look like the Nexus S 4G might be showing up in stores soon.

For over a week, SnatcHatch and I have been jumping around looking like complete idiots playing and using the Kinect on the Xbox 360. Un this video review, you get to see first hand what the systems has to offer in terms of game play and how accurate it is

The kinect system is very accurate in detecting motions and has no problem in picking up two people for multiplayer game play. You do need a lot of space for game play and you must be at least 10 feet away from the Kinect sensor.   At this point in time the system isn’t very accurate in picking up precise motion and gestures.  Which I am sure we will see improvements over time as we did with the Wii. But in all the Kinect is fun and I can say is truly a gaming experience that everyone in the family of all ages will be able to get up and play or basically move.

The Samsung focus is a launch windows phone 7 device from Samsung, packed with a 4’ Super AMOLED touch screen, 5Mp camera/flash and 8GB rom on board.
