The Nook Tablet is here and ready to compete in the every growing tablet market. Priced at $250,  Barnes & Nobles aims to create a low cost tablet that rivals its main competitor the Kindle fire. The Nook Tablet has got a 7-inch VividView IPS color touchpanel with a 1024 x 600 screen resolution(169 PPI), a 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP4 processor, 1GB of RAM, dimensions of 8.1- x 5- x 0.48-inches ( that’s 14.1 ounces), 16GB of inbuilt storage, a microSD expansion slot, battery life is up to 11 hours. Wifi 802.11b/g/n.

Hardware wise the Nook Tablet looks like the Nook , keep its traditional styling. It weighs 14.1 pounds. The menus system of the Nook tablet is similar to what you have with the regular nook.. But as for file format it  supports these file formats: CBZ, XLS, DOC, PPT, TXT, DOCM, XLSM, PPTM, PPSX, PPSM, DOCX, XLX, PPTX: videos in MP4, or Adobe Flash Player format, 3GP, 3G2 MKV, WEBM, H.264, MPEG-4, H.263,VP8: audio MP3, MP4, AAC, AMR, WAV, OGG. The Nook tablet’s interface is very reminiscent of an Android 2.3 Tablet interface, it allows for a lot of personal customization. You can access your music, or movies on the device stored via microsd card( as you are only allotted 1GBB of on board storage on the nook) The Nook Tablet interface is honestly everywhere, multiple access points to get to where you want. which isn’t a bad thing but it does seem a bit confusing. Though it runs very smooth, the 1GB of Ram and the dual core processor. do a nice job of ensuring a smooth experience. It does what it is built to do well; as an ereader the Nook tablet is smooth and flawless,

The Nook tablet isn’t bad, it just feels rushed on the user presentation side of things. it’s a very capable tablet and one that should be given a good look.

The Amazon Kindle Fire has coming in to shake up the tablet arena. Amazon feel they have the right combination with its product and services to create something that will define an era and Christmas of 2011.  So let take a look at the Kindle fire to see what this $200  Android 2.3 Tablet offering brings to the table that is so disruptive.

Hardware

The Kindle Fire has a 7-inch IPS display with Gorilla glass coating, weighs approximately 14.6 ounces, its got 8 Gb of storage (actually 6GB), with unlimited cloud storage. It is a Wi-Fi capable tablet, no Bluetooth or 3G.The first thing you will notice about the Kindle Fire is the lack of physical button anywhere on the device, its got one and that is the power button, The whole system is enclosed, so the battery is not removable, there are no cameras in the front or in the rear. An Initial Look at the amazon UX; it very simple everything is in front of you, You have got one home screen and it is easy to access all aspect of the device. Kindle Fire OS & Browser

The first thing you will notice with the Kindle Fire once you turn it on is the singular  home screen, with a notification bar on top that slides down when tapped on the right to reveal your volume, brightness  Wi-Fi, Sync and setting controls; as well as quick music controls. Tapping on the upper left hand corner which shows your name  when a number is highlighted bring sup your download notification screen. Below the notification bar is your search bar and category row. You can search within the device as well as the web. Conclusion

The Kindle Fire is what you would call, the amalgamation of the Tablet era. It is not without its flaws which are obvious. For the sometimes unresponsiveness, dude to its 512MB of ram to the lack of an external storage source to expand on the 8GB internal memory( though you do have unlimited cloud storage). I still found myself drown to the Kindle Fire, which might be due to Amazon’s simplification of Android 2.3 and the combined effectiveness from Amazon’s cloud services that all for my VOD to play within seconds and the easy access of all my music stored in the cloud was also very helpful. So may say it has many issues that keep it away from being the iPad killer

In all the Kindle Fire is a flawed device like any other. What Amazon has created is a beat of a different styling, one that is a true merging of services and product, better than what Apple has to offer and simpler too. Which is key. The Kindle Fire is a grown up Kindle and does pretend to be a killer tablet. What it is; is a gateway device in providing Amazon Video, music, books and other service on a Tablet platform under Android with the ease of use.

Barnes & Noble sent out invitations on Monday to a press conference that will be held on November 7th in New York City. This thing is super, and I repeat super light ( less than 6 ounces), feels like feather in your hands and it incredible thin too. Got built-in Wi-fi too The New amazon kindle is design to be pocket size, it can slide into your back pocket, suit jacket a handbag. The whole portability idea is prevenient in its design. Combined with its ultra light weight, the new Amazon Kindle really hits the mark. As for functionality its what you expect from the Kindle, easy to use and navigate, access your Amazon account to purchase new books and continue your read. page navigation is easy with  page turning buttons on both sides of the device for easy left or right hand use.

The is also an experimental e-ink browser on the device, that feels like browsing a news paper. on the web. Has the Name states it is experimental so it is a little slow, but you can access site, check email. show on Amazon.com, save bookmarks or use the numerous bookmarks pre-saved for you.For its Price tag with the special offer(ads running on your kindle) at $79, the new Amazon Kindle feel like a reasonable and price warranted buy and I think Amazon has reached a sweet spot with this device.

Yesterday Amazon Announced its first a Sub $100 Kindle that is also the company’s first e-ink Touch Kindle, dubbed the “Kindle Touch”. Its got an easy to use touch screen, allows page turn with either hand, though simple gesture points , search, shop and take notes on the device. At CEs we got to see the Cydel M7 Android Powered MID, The unit provides subscription-free Mobile TV, in compliance with the ATSC digital standard for Mobile TV technology.  Channel availability will vary based on location.  The M7 also has full Android intergration, which means, use of the app store and downloading apps to the device. it also has HDMI support, with 8GB of memory comes standard on the Cydle M7, expandable to 16GB.

1. No webcam or Camera: Which means no quality Skyping or Video Conferencing. and can’t simply take pictures.
2. Same OS as the iPhone 3.2: While it keeps things simple, it doesn’t seem fresh.
3. No flash: streaming content is out of the picture aka HULU Seriously no Flash!
4. ebook: prices are not to exciting. $14.99 might as well go to the Library
5. Not sure if you can transfer: your your old ebook or free Google books
6. No Multitasking,:seriously Apple. This is a no Brainer
7. iTunes: only, you are tied down
8. AT&T: 3G service, limits its use( should be open to all carriers)
9. Price Point:  $499 -$849 is a high price for an off use device. I can by an iPhone or Nexus One or two solid Netbooks
