Its Friday, the weekend is here, almost summer, time to hit the beach, maybe go camping or even hiking. Usually if you like me you expensive smartphone stays at home or at the very least in the car. That isn’t the case for the Casio G’zOne Commando, which is a Military Standard 810G Smartphone for Immersion, Rain, Shock, Dust resistant, Vibration, Salt, Fog, Humidity, Solar Radiation, Altitude, Low & High Temperatures. Since the Casio G’zOne Commando has all these features we decided that this review was best geared for putting the device through the ring of hell.
Hardware
The Casio G’zOne Commando is on sturdy phone, designed to look like something the military would use on the battle field, its got fastened screws at its corners with an industrial plastic casing that protects it from all manner of torture. the screen looks to be made from Gorilla glass. So its very sturdy and pretty much hard to break. All ports are sealed tight and the battery bay has a physical lock switch. Also making the devise impregnable.

Testing Scenarios
Dust Resistance and Vibration
Passed with flying colors, I drop the thing so many time with out leaving as much as a scratch on it
Low Temperatures
Passed; stuck it in an ice box and I could even receive calls on it while frozen
High Temperatures & Shock
Passed; spent some time in my dryer bouncing around like a ball and still no damage
Water Immersion
Passed excellently: I was actually scared during the test. I though the Casio G’Zone Commando might die on me but alas the Device proved its Military toughness.
Conclusion
I can tell you off the bat the Casio G’Zone Commando is a fun Smartphone, its rugged, tough, can withstand a hurricane and the adventures of a 2 year old. There are some down sides to the device, with its non-stylish design and lack of LTE. But the are many solid point to the G’zOne Commando; such as the good battery life, G’zGear software, and near indestructability. If you are a person who loves the outdoors, and need a smartphone that reflects your life style the G’zone Commando is for you, and @ $199 on a 2 Year contract form Verizon or from Amazon for $19.99
