Droid is an Android series of phones for Verizon

So it seem Google and Verizon are making Droid a series of phones running the Android OS 2.0. What I find funning is the Droid Eris pictured above is simply a renamed HTC hero running 1.5 and not 2.0. Hmmmmm why. Its rumored release date is Nov 6th.
